Anura Kumara Dissanayaka too in the fray for Presidency

Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayaka of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna was nominated today (18) as Jathika Jana Balawegaya Presidential candidate. 'Jathika Jana Balawegaya' was formed with a combination of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna and civil society groups providing support in that connection. This rally which is called 'Negitimu Api' as
their theme and is known as the great rally of the revolution. 

It is after 20 years that a Presidential candidate is nominated by Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna across Jathika Jana Balawegaya the latter of which was developed by getting together with almost another 30 organisations under leadership of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna. It is a special incident in the political world where Eksath Jathika Peramuna together with Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna votes subjected to dissection of parties as a result of this nomination to provide support to the common candidate.
