4 members of a youth group from Nugegoda went missing after being swept away by a stream in Deniyaya forest (photos)

Police say that four out of six people who went to bathe in a stream called 'Kele Dola' in the Deniyaya, Beveraliyaya area have been swept away and are missing. A group of young men from Nugegoda and Kalubowila areas were bathing in a stream in the Beveraliyaya area when four of them were swept away by the water.

It is believed that they were swept away uncontrollably due to an unexpectedly strong and rapidly flowing current caused by heavy rainfall.

The slippers and clothes of the missing persons were found nearby. Police stated that operations were carried out with the army to search for the missing group.
