Yoshitha Rajapaksa received a salary of Rs. 5,150,626 for the period he served in the Navy! Revealed to the High Court.

It was informed to the Colombo High Court today (15) that Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, has received approximately Rs. 5,150,626 as salary during his service in the Sri Lanka Navy.

During the evidence hearing of the case filed against Yoshitha Rajapaksa under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, a Navy officer testifying revealed this information.

The witness stated that this amount is the total salary paid to Yoshitha Rajapaksa during his service in the Navy, and it does not include other allowances.

The examination of witnesses in the case is currently ongoing at the Colombo High Court, and the trial continues.
