Trincomalee guesthouse owner Nimal Kosgolla murdered

Breaking the silence that prevailed last night (20) in the Sinhapura area of Trincomalee, an inhumane murder was reported. This was the news of the owner of a holiday resort, who was alone without any guests, being stabbed to death in the neck with a sharp weapon.

The person thus murdered was an unmarried businessman named B.K. Nimal Kosgolla, who resided in the Sinhapura area of Trincomalee. According to reported information, he was 55-56 years old.

He was completely alone in this lodge, located in the 04 Kanuwa Junction area within the Trincomalee Police Division, when the crime occurred last night. The police have now revealed that after committing this crime, the person or group who came to commit the murder also took the gold chain worn around the deceased's neck.

However, the true motive behind this brutal murder has not yet been confirmed. Following a message received by the Trincomalee Police Station regarding the incident, extensive investigations have already been launched to apprehend the suspects.

The magisterial inquiry into the body of the murdered holiday resort owner was scheduled to be conducted this morning, after which the body is to be taken to Trincomalee Hospital for a post-mortem examination, the Trincomalee Headquarters Police further stated.
