The heart patient student who was at the Children's Hospital is missing

A thirteen-year-old schoolboy, who was receiving treatment for a heart condition in a ward at Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children in Colombo, has suddenly gone missing from the hospital.

According to hospital sources, the child was still in the relevant hospital ward until around 11:00 AM yesterday (19). Police state that at the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a long-sleeved blue t-shirt and grey trousers. A Borella Police officer confirmed that a more noteworthy point is that a cannula was still attached to one of the minor child's hands when he went missing from the hospital.

Borella Police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the disappearance of this student, who is a resident of Nangiram, Puttalam. A team of officers from the Borella Police Children and Women's Bureau has also been deployed for the investigations with the aim of quickly finding the child.

Meanwhile, Borella Police have taken steps to inform the Puttalam Headquarters Police, which is responsible for the missing student's hometown, about this matter. Operations to find this child, who went missing while suffering from a heart condition and with a cannula attached to his hand, are still ongoing.
