The eRL system providing online income permits will be suspended for a few days.

Due to a scheduled system update, the issuance of electronic revenue licenses (eRL 2.0) in eight provinces across the island has been temporarily suspended from Friday, September 25, 2026, to Monday, September 28, 2026.

This temporary suspension will affect the electronic revenue license issuance services in the eight provinces of Central, North Central, North Western, Southern, Eastern, Northern, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva.

Authorities state that this system update is being carried out with the aim of improving the efficiency and quality of the electronic revenue license service provided to the public.

Following the completion of the relevant system update, operations of the eRL 2.0 system will resume from Tuesday, September 29, 2026, and services are expected to continue as usual thereafter.
