Suresh Sale's medical reports were hidden without being submitted to the court, fearing that the true situation would be revealed.

The Director of the Colombo National Hospital has been ordered to explain the health condition of Mr. Suresh Sallay, former head of the State Intelligence Service, who is being held under detention orders in connection with the Easter Sunday terrorist attack, and the non-submission of the five-member medical board report to the court. Accordingly, Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasekara issued the relevant notice, ordering him to appear before the court on the upcoming 22nd.

The court had previously taken steps to call for a report on whether Mr. Suresh Sallay should continue to receive inpatient treatment at the National Hospital. When the case was called, Additional Solicitor General and President's Counsel Dileepa Peiris, appearing for the prosecution, pointed out that the suspect had been hospitalized for 100 days. Furthermore, the President's Counsel questioned what difficulty lay behind the Hospital Director's refusal to provide medical reports to the Criminal Investigation Department, stating they would be given to the court, and then failing to submit them to the court even on the due date, describing this as a purely medical conspiracy.

During the relevant court session, the other two suspects connected to the incident were presented to the court by prison officials via Zoom technology. Furthermore, a report detailing the current progress of the investigations related to the incident was also submitted to the court by officers, including Deputy Inspector General of Police Shani Abeysekara, who is in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department.

After considering the facts presented, the Magistrate, who issued a notice for the Hospital Director to appear before the court, also ordered the Criminal Investigation Department to submit a report on the future progress of these investigations to the court on the upcoming 22nd.
