Shooting targeting a woman in Kollupitiya

A woman was injured in a shooting incident that occurred around 3:00 AM today (04) near a multi-story apartment complex located in the Kollupitiya, 6th Lane area. The shooting was carried out by a person from an upper floor of the said apartment building, targeting two women who were in the open premises.

One woman who was injured in the shooting was immediately admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment. Police state that preliminary investigations have revealed that the shooting was carried out due to a personal reason.

Kollupitiya Police are actively conducting further investigations into the incident.
