Dehiwala Traffic OIC suspended

The Mount Lavinia Senior Superintendent of Police office has taken steps to suspend Inspector Praneeth Udayanga, the OIC of the Traffic Division of Dehiwala Police, who temporarily left his workplace stating that he could no longer serve due to mental distress caused by continuous work pressure.

The OIC of Dehiwala Police had informed by letter regarding the sudden departure of the said officer from his duty station. Accordingly, the Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of the Mount Lavinia Division, who took action, has ordered the Mount Lavinia Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau to immediately conduct an investigation into the incident.
