Archuna is no longer a 'Tiger'. Namal changed her and brought her over to our side - Indika

Criticism has been leveled on social media regarding the bringing together of politically contradictory practices on the same platform, due to MP Ramanathan Archuna, who speaks identifying himself as a tiger, being invited to the Anuradhapura Pohottu rally, and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who led the war against the Tigers to victory, being made the chief guest. The Pohottuwa party is now holding press conferences to explain and justify this.

Former Member of Parliament Indika Anuruddha now states that there has been a change in MP Archuna's political stance and that the only main character behind it is Mr. Namal Rajapaksa. He says that this new approach by MP Archuna has occurred in the same way that Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa previously worked to change the path of Karuna Amman and Pillayan by directing them towards democratic politics. His statement in his own words is as follows: 

"Why did Arjuna suddenly change to this position?"

The only reason for the change is Namal Rajapaksa. No one else. He is the one who changed Arjuna. His father is the one who changed Pillayan. His father is the one who changed Karuna.

If MP Arjuna promotes a banned organization, it's not good for him either. Because he swears in Parliament that he will not conspire against the state. It's not good for him before it's not good for us here.

Therefore, as someone who was on that stage, throughout Arjuna's speech, I observed that he was making an effort to connect the North and the South. So, he is trying to make the Tamil community and the Sinhala community live like brothers, or rather, live together.

Now, this is like poking a thorn in the eye of those who demand federalism. It's like poking a thorn in the eye of those who say this country should be divided. But when you look at Arjuna's history, when you look at what Arjuna said in Parliament, why did Arjuna suddenly change to this position? The only reason for the change is Namal Rajapaksa. No one else. He is the one who changed Arjuna.

His father is the one who changed Pillayan. His father is the one who changed Karuna. By changing them and bringing them into the country's politics, they were given the opportunity to develop their respective villages through them. We saw how the East developed. However, Karuna from the East never asked for federalism; or rather, never asked for the country to be broken up and the Eastern Province to be separated. Pillayan didn't ask for it. Now, isn't it a victory that Namal Rajapaksa has brought Arjuna to a point where he doesn't ask for the North to be separated?"
