Breaking into the government office and snatching a two-sovereign gold chain from a female officer.

Warakapola Police has launched a wide investigation to find two suspects who forcibly snatched a gold chain with a pendant worth two sovereigns from the neck of a social empowerment officer who was on duty in a government office located in the Dorawaka Pallebage area, Warakapola, and fled. This robbery took place on the evening of the 15th.

According to police reports, one of two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle around 5:00 PM that day suddenly broke into the said office. It is reported that the person, who was on the back seat of the motorcycle, stole the gold chain belonging to the officer, got back onto the motorcycle parked in front of the office, and immediately fled the area with the other person.

The community empowerment officer who faced the incident has lodged a complaint regarding this at the Warakapola Police Station. No information about the individuals who committed the robbery has been revealed yet, and officers of the Criminal Investigation Division of Warakapola Police are conducting extensive investigations to identify and arrest the fleeing suspects.
