5 burned to death in helmet factory fire

Sources state that the bodies of 05 people who died from burns in the fire that broke out at the helmet manufacturing factory in Homagama Industrial Zone have been found.

These bodies were found during a search conducted after the fire was brought under control, and it is presumed that 5 factory workers who were trapped and unable to escape due to the fire have died in this manner.

The Police Media Unit stated that the fire that broke out in a factory in the Katuwana Industrial Zone has now been brought under control.

Search operations among the debris are currently ongoing after the fire was extinguished. The Fire Services Department stated that 08 fire trucks were deployed to control this fire, which broke out this morning (21) at a helmet manufacturing factory in the Katuwana Industrial Zone.
