Wife mysteriously murdered at husband's house in Kundasale, Kandy.

A report has emerged about the mysterious discovery of the body of a 23-year-old married woman from a house located in the Warapitiya area of Kundasale, Kandy. The body was found in the house where her husband resided.

The relatives of the deceased young woman claim that her husband and his family members assaulted and murdered her. However, her husband, who denies these allegations, states that when he returned home this morning (20th) after attending a musical show, he saw his wife hanging herself. He further stated that he then cut the rope to save her and placed her body on the bed.

It has been revealed that frequent disputes occurred between this couple, who had been married for nearly two years. Relatives state that due to continuous harassment from her drug-addicted husband, the deceased young woman had previously lodged complaints with the Balagolla Police on several occasions. Due to her husband's assaults, she frequently went to her parents' house, and recently she was preparing to divorce him.

Meanwhile, a letter allegedly written by the young woman before her death has been submitted to the police and the magistrate by the young man's side. However, the family of the deceased young woman strongly alleges that the handwriting in the letter does not belong to their daughter. During the magisterial inquiry, a tense situation arose at the scene due to the agitated behavior of the young woman's relatives who were present. Accordingly, the magistrate has ordered the body to be sent to the Kandy National Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death, and the Balagolla Police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
