Jaffna District Parliamentarian Ramanathan Archuna states that the LTTE diaspora will not provide any financial assistance to the current government in the future or vote to bring them back to power. Addressing the "Mehewaraka Pranamaya" (Tribute to a Mission) ceremony held in Kalutara, the MP pointed out that not only the foreign diaspora but also the entire public of this country have been severely deceived by the current actions of the rulers.

This tribute ceremony was organized by Parliamentarian Rohitha Abeygunawardena.

The MP, who accused the current administration of failing to deliver positive or meaningful development to either the Sinhala or Tamil communities since coming to power, recalled that he too had supported the election of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at that time. However, he stated that due to that decision, he and all citizens of the country are now facing severe hardship. He further emphasized that misleading the country by any leader is the most serious and worst act that can be committed.

Mr. Archuna, appreciating former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who rendered great service to the country, stated that he is the only person he would like to call a true President of Sri Lanka. The MP, pointing out that only an honest and truthful leader who genuinely loves the country and all its communities should hold the leadership of the nation, also stated that he strongly believes that Mr. Namal Rajapaksa will become the President of this country in 2029 and provide solutions to the problems faced by the Sinhala and Tamil people. He warned that no progress can be expected under the current administration, and if the government continues in this manner, their number of parliamentary seats will be limited to at least ten by 2029.

The MP stated that the current government has misled not only the people of this country but also foreign nations, and therefore, winning the upcoming Provincial Council election will be a significant challenge for them. He also invited all communities to unite as one for nation-building. Mr. Ramanathan Archuna further stated that he has some fear of facing legal issues in the future due to such political statements he makes, and that several cases have already been filed against him in court, but he still does not know the specific reason for them.
