3 dead in Thalawathugoda restaurant fire

Three individuals who sustained severe burn injuries in a sudden fire that broke out this morning (09) at a restaurant located near the Talawathugoda junction have died.

Immediately after the fire broke out, authorities took steps to deploy three fire trucks belonging to the Kotte Municipal Council to control it. The three individuals who were severely injured in the fire were promptly admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

The police later confirmed that all three injured individuals, who were receiving further treatment at the hospital after being admitted, had unfortunately died. The exact cause of the fire has not yet been revealed, and the Talangama Police are currently conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
