Main henchman of 'Dubai Sudda' arrested in Bandaragama

Bandaragama Police have succeeded in arresting seven individuals, including the main distributor in the Bandaragama area belonging to the drug network of 'Dubai Sudda,' who is considered a notorious large-scale drug trafficker.

This raid was launched based on a confidential tip received by Bandaragama Police Station OIC, Chief Police Inspector Channa Amarasekara. Accordingly, upon inspecting a house located in the Alothiyawa area of Welmilla, Bandaragama, it was revealed that it was being operated as a center for packaging drugs into small packets, and the police were able to apprehend the group involved in the illicit trade who were present there.

During this operation, 50 grams of heroin and 25 grams of 'ice' (crystal methamphetamine), valued at approximately fifteen lakhs (1.5 million) rupees, were taken into police custody. In addition, officers succeeded in finding special papers, wax envelopes used for packaging the drugs, and several other tools used for the illicit trade. Furthermore, four mobile phones and a motor car were also taken into police custody from the raid location.

Arrangements have been made to present the seven suspects who were arrested to the Panadura Magistrate's Court. Bandaragama Police are currently conducting further investigations regarding this drug network and the other suspects.
