The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) has decided to revise the retail fuel prices in the country, effective from midnight today (May 30) at 12:00 AM. According to a special media release issued by the corporation, the prices of several types of fuel have been increased with this price revision.
Accordingly, the price of a liter of Lanka Petrol 92 Octane, which is widely used by vehicle owners, has been increased by Rs. 24, with its new price being Rs. 434. Also, the price of a liter of Lanka Petrol 95 Octane has been increased by Rs. 25, so consumers will now have to purchase it for Rs. 495.
The price of a liter of Lanka White Diesel, which directly impacts the transport sector, has been increased by Rs. 15, with its new price recorded at Rs. 407. The price of a liter of Lanka Super Diesel has been increased by Rs. 20, and its new price is Rs. 478. In addition, the price of a liter of Lanka Kerosene has also been increased by Rs. 20, bringing the new price of a liter of kerosene to Rs. 285.
