A Chinese woman arrested in Kollupitiya with a stock of illegal liquor and cigarettes

Security forces have succeeded in apprehending a foreign young woman who was hiding a stock of illegally imported foreign liquor and cigarettes in the Rotunda Gardens area, which falls under the Kollupitiya Police Division.

This arrest was made according to a special search operation launched by Kollupitiya Police officers on Friday (01) night.

During the said operation, the police seized 257 bottles of illegally imported foreign liquor and 100 cigarettes from the suspect's possession.

The police have further confirmed that the arrested individual is a 20-year-old Chinese national.

Further legal action and investigations regarding this incident are currently being carried out by the Kollupitiya Police.
