Update: Bhanuka is going to sue Harshitha

Sri Lankan cricketer Bhanuka Rajapaksa has sent a Letter of Demand to young actress Harshi Rasanga. This is because she created a completely different story by making false accusations against him on social media after the court proceedings.

At the heart of this legal dispute is a gold necklace valued at over nine hundred thousand rupees (900,000). According to Bhanuka Rajapaksa, the actress in question borrowed the necklace from him and later pawned it without his knowledge.

Following her arrest by the Talangama Police in connection with this incident, the actress was produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court, which ordered her release on two personal bails of five hundred thousand rupees each.

During the court proceedings, her side informed the court that the gold necklace had been pawned and that arrangements could be made to redeem and return it. However, Rajapaksa's legal team points out that the actress, who accepted these facts before the court, later made contradictory statements to the media. She claimed that the necklace was a gift to her due to a private relationship between them, and these contradictory statements made by her on social media are what led to this legal action.

Meanwhile, the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court has ordered the Talangama Police to take custody of the said gold necklace and present it to the court at the next hearing scheduled for April 22.
