No one knew then if this was the last song she sang on her final journey.

Nine people, including school teachers, lost their lives in the Valparai bus accident that deeply shocked Kerala, India. A poignant video of teacher Asha, who was among them, is currently moving the hearts of many on social media. The bus, which plunged into a 300-foot gorge, was carrying a group on an excursion from Pang Palliparambu Government Primary School. It is reported that nine people died when a vehicle plunged into a gorge in the Valparai area of Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu. The driver's inability to control the vehicle is suspected to be the cause. Police investigations have revealed that the van, after falling from the 13th bend, passed several other bends and finally stopped near the 9th bend.

It has been confirmed that among the deceased are six teachers from Kuruva Government Schools in Malappuram district, a school cook, a 12-year-old boy, and another relative. At the time of the accident, 12 people were traveling in the vehicle, and it is reported that seven of them were women who lost their lives. Three of the four injured, including the driver, are in serious condition and have been admitted to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for further treatment.

The group encountered this accident while returning via Pollachi after visiting the Athirappilly waterfall in Kerala that morning and touring the Valparai area. The extremely difficult road between Valparai and Pollachi consists of 40 deadly hairpin bends, making it identified as a high-risk zone where accidents frequently occur. Locals and rescue teams worked together with great effort to extract those trapped in the wreckage. The scenes of 41-year-old teacher Asha singing a song in a sweet voice with a smiling face before her death were shared online by her contemporary friend, lawyer K.R. Subhash Chandran. Regarding the video he received from a university friends' group, he noted that he did not know if it was the song she sang on her final journey, but that it was impossible to watch those scenes without tears.

In this extremely tragic incident, the school principal, 54-year-old Ajitha, a group of teachers including Asha, the school cook, and Hisham, the 12-year-old son of one of the teachers, closed their eyes forever. The joyous excursion that was full of happiness just a few days ago plunged into the valley of death in an instant, bringing unbearable pain to the entire population of Kerala.

The situation has been made even more tragic by several others, including small children, who are hospitalized and fighting for their lives in intensive care. The cruel end to this journey, which began happily, has left us with an unanswerable question about the extremely unpredictable nature of human life.

From the wreckage of that bus, which plunged into the gorge and was silenced forever, only the echo of teacher Asha's last song still resonates eternally today.
