Patient arrested for touching the chest of a female doctor at Kalutara Hospital while checking blood pressure.

The suspect has been arrested by the police in connection with an incident where a patient receiving treatment at Nagoda Hospital in Kalutara sexually harassed a female doctor working at the same hospital.

It has been revealed that the arrested individual is a resident of Thannahena, Samagipura, Mahagama, and he was transferred to Nagoda Hospital for further medical treatment after receiving initial treatment from Pimbura Hospital, Matugama.

According to police reports, this incident occurred when the doctor went to check the suspect patient's blood pressure.

The complaint states that the suspect committed this indecent act by touching her chest area, and it is reported that even after the doctor sternly informed him that she would complain to the police about this, the suspect harassed her a second time when she went to examine him again.

The suspect, who is currently under police custody, is still receiving treatment at the same hospital under strict police protection, and he is scheduled to be produced before the Kalutara Magistrate's Court yesterday (15).

Further investigations into this criminal incident are being conducted by a police team, including Sub-Inspector Wanniarachchi, under the direct instructions of Kalutara South Headquarters Chief Police Inspector Mr. Nalaka Gunasekara.
