Unknown dead bodies in Nittambuwa and Colombo Port City

Police state that two male dead bodies were found yesterday (01) in two different areas of the island. One of the bodies was found yesterday afternoon near the Ranavirugama junction, which falls under the Nittambuwa police division.

The deceased is an unidentified male, aged between sixty and sixty-five years. This person, approximately five feet three inches tall, was reportedly wearing a white striped sarong at the time of death and had a full beard on his face. The recovered body has currently been placed in the mortuary of Wathupitiwala Hospital, and further investigations related to the incident are being conducted by the Nittambuwa Police.

Meanwhile, Colombo Port Police received information yesterday morning regarding another male dead body floating in the sea near the Port Harbor institution in Colombo Port City. According to investigations, the deceased has been identified as a twenty-four-year-old youth residing in the Valvettithurai area. Information has now been revealed that this youth had come to watch a music concert held at the Colombo Port City premises on February 28th. Colombo Port Police have launched a further extensive investigation into the incident.
