President Donald Trump broke his silence in a special phone interview with the 'Daily Mail' newspaper regarding the deaths of three American soldiers for the first time during the ongoing war with Iran. The President stated that these three soldiers, whose names have not yet been revealed, were excellent individuals, and unfortunately, he warned the public that more such casualties should be expected in the future.
He acknowledged that while operations such as the arrest of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro last January and the bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities in June were carried out without any American casualties, these were the first American casualties during his second term.Trump revealed, commenting on his war plan, that this war situation would last four weeks or less. He stated that the results of the attacks so far have been as planned, and American forces have managed to kill more than expected, specifically about 48 Iranian leaders. Although he said he was open to further discussions with Iran, the President's opinion was that they should have engaged in those discussions last week. The President, currently at the Mar-a-Lago resort, was scheduled to return to Washington D.C. that afternoon.
On Sunday afternoon, he again addressed the American people by releasing a video on the 'Truth Social' social media network, pledging to avenge the fallen soldiers and to launch the most severe attack on terrorists who have declared war against civilization. He issued a new ultimatum to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and the military to immediately lay down their arms and receive a full pardon, or else face certain death. Furthermore, he urged the Iranian people to courageously rise up, overthrow the Islamic regime, and reclaim their country.
Amid growing public disapproval against the war before the midterm elections scheduled for November, and at a time of unrest among Republicans, Trump appealed to Americans for support for the war, stating that this operation was an essential step to protect future generations from a terrorist regime with nuclear weapons. Conflicts have now spread across the Middle East, with missile attacks targeting Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and American military bases. Following the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the United States and Israel have jointly launched a series of massive bombing raids targeting Iran's ballistic missile centers and warships, and according to Iranian authorities, over 200 people have died so far.
Trump stated that he had spoken by phone with the leaders of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Jordan regarding this crisis. He further added that Saudi Arabia has also joined the fight. The President mentioned that he had already spoken to the families of the fallen soldiers and hoped to meet them at Dover Air Force Base or the White House at an appropriate time. He expressed his strong belief that democracy would be established in Iran after the American and Israeli attacks conclude.
