Cabinet approval has been granted to increase the allowance given to government officials engaged in duties during extensive disaster situations and post-disaster periods by one hundred percent (100%). This proposal, submitted by the President as the Minister of Defense, has thus received Cabinet approval.

It has been decided to pay this new increased allowance to officials who performed duties during the extensive disaster situation that prevailed from November 21, 2025, to December 15, 2025. In addition, this new allowance will also be applicable to public officials serving in similar disaster situations that may arise in the future. Accordingly, the necessary circular instructions for making the relevant payments are expected to be issued promptly.

Previously, the allowance for officials performing duties during disaster situations was paid according to a circular issued on September 01, 2019. However, the government recognized the need to revise this allowance to suit the current economic situation. Accordingly, based on the observations and proposals submitted by the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, the Department of Management Services, and the National Budget Department, steps have been taken to double this allowance.
