An AI war is coming in the future, and only Namal can face it - Meenu

The following views were expressed during a discussion held by Meenu Gunasinghe, a new political activist of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.

What is the idea about politics, the youth generation, and AI technology?

We are organizing ourselves to carry forward this ideological task. For that, we conduct workshops. We organize specifically for that. We create projects for that. So, we invite young men and women to come forward. During this period, young men and women show some reluctance to enter politics. But we invite them to choose the right path. When choosing that path, we say, "Come this way, this is the right one." However, there might be problems in certain places, and crises can exist anywhere. Therefore, let's resolve them and move forward.

Mr. Namal Rajapaksa always talks to us about 'the political force of the new generation'. So, without taking a different line, the political force of the new generation is built within that conversation. Here, this new generation refers to a group of people focused on Innovation, a group that thinks anew, a group that seeks new paths. This group has the ability to change this traditional social system in the future. We are aligning the future for that ability. That's why development projects are being carried out. 

Until now, did anyone have an interest in building highways in Sri Lanka? Did anyone have an interest in building an internationally recognized communication tower? We now have an internationally recognized technological platform where even a person from another country can come and perform a show. That's why those things needed to be built. So, with this 'Innovation', we are creating a generation that can embark on this journey. Now, in the future, the technological approach is very high. With the digital status we have now, many things have changed with AI technology.

We have seen Mr. Namal Rajapaksa. Namal Rajapaksa was the first politician in Sri Lanka to create a TikTok account. We have seen that. The emerging question: With the program you are talking about now, connected with AI technology, these campaigns will have to be run in a very complex and technologically advanced way. What is the preparation and program for this?

Answer: AI technology, if used very well, is something that can lead to great success. There is a book called 'Nexus'. Even in that book, which is written about the evolution of communication, it mentions how this journey came about, from the message tied to a pigeon's leg to the current AI technology. It's a recently released book. So, looking at these points, Namal Rajapaksa is a young person, isn't he? As young people, what we say should be understood. There's no point in just creating a youth movement if there's no youth leadership there. If that's not understood, then because of that, our future political journey needs to be updated.

If you can't even create a prompt in ChatGPT, if you can't write a prompt and create something for yourself, if you can't generate an idea, you can't run with this generation. The current generation is very advanced. The way they find things is different. Gen Z, and the upcoming Gen Alpha, there's a big difference between these two generations. According to the data found now, it is said that the IQ level of Gen Z is lower. But I believe that even if their IQ level is lower, 

they have found shortcuts. They know how to survive within this. That's how these young people will come into campaigns in the future. They are in apps with new technology. They come with a database, with AI. This will be a big war in the future. The reason is that the boundary we have to run between truth and falsehood is greatly reduced.
