Tissamaharama spa owner who molested French woman is assaulted by someone who came from India

According to the Office of the Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Southern Province, an Indian national has been arrested in connection with assaulting a person accused of sexually assaulting a French national woman at an Ayurvedic massage center in the Tissamaharama area.

According to information received by the police, this incident began when a French national woman visited an Ayurvedic massage center located in the Mahasenpura area of Tissamaharama for a massage.

There, the French national woman informed her Indian national friend that the husband of the massage center owner had sexually assaulted her.

Subsequently, the Indian national friend went to the said location to inquire about the matter, and during an ensuing argument, the assault occurred. The owner of the massage center informed the Police Emergency Call Unit (119) regarding this incident.

Following the incident, the suspect Indian national was arrested by Tissamaharama Police, and the assaulted person has been admitted to Debarawewa Hospital for further treatment.

The French national woman, who alleges sexual assault, has also been admitted to Hambantota Hospital for a forensic medical examination.
