Following discussions at the recent Singapore Airshow, prominent Sri Lankan businessman Mr. Dudley Sirisena has focused his attention on purchasing a 'Cessna Citation Latitude' aircraft, one of the world's most popular mid-size business jets.

This business aircraft, which can comfortably accommodate nine passengers and features a cabin with enough space to stand, is powered by twin Pratt & Whitney PW306D1 engines. It can fly at a speed of approximately 825 km/h (446 knots) and has a maximum range of about 2,700 nautical miles. Furthermore, this jet can fly long-haul, transcontinental flights, such as from New York to Los Angeles, without any intermediate stops.

This aircraft is manufactured by Textron Aviation, a global aerospace leader headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, USA. Since the introduction of this aircraft model in 2015, over 400 aircraft have been delivered to customers worldwide, with the value of an aircraft ranging between US$20 million and US$22 million depending on its features. Notably, under their main brands Cessna and Beechcraft, they have manufactured and delivered over 250,000 aircraft to more than 170 countries to date.

INFOTECHS (PVT) Ltd, the authorized representative of Textron Aviation for Sri Lanka and the Maldives, will act as the intermediary for this future transaction within Sri Lanka. Textron continues to contribute to the upliftment of Sri Lanka's aviation sector by providing a wide range of aircraft used for pilot training, passenger transport, and various special operations.
