All arrangements have been made to grandly host the tenth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Cricket tournament, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, from February 7 to March 8, 2026.

This tournament, which will run for 30 days, will feature a total of 55 matches, including the preliminary round, Super 8s, semi-finals, and the final match.

20 of the world's strongest teams will participate in this tournament, and the tournament format will be similar to that of the 2024 tournament. Accordingly, in the preliminary round, the 20 participating teams will compete under four groups of five teams each, followed by the Super 8s and knockout matches in the final rounds.

When grouping the teams participating in the tournament, host India, the United States of America, Namibia, the Netherlands, and Pakistan will compete in Group 'A'. Host Sri Lanka has been placed in Group 'B', and they will be joined by Australia, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Oman in that group. England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Italy, and Nepal will join the tournament from Group 'C', while South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates will compete for the World Cup from Group 'D'.
