An attack on the Maho police team that went to conduct a raid

The OIC of the Anti-Corruption Unit of Maho Police was injured and hospitalized after a group of individuals attacked a police team that went to conduct a raid, obstructing their duties. According to Maho Police, three suspects have been arrested in connection with the assault.

The assault was reported yesterday (31) in the Galwalayaya area of Maho. Police state that while three officers, including the Anti-Corruption OIC, were engaged in a raid in the area, three individuals arrived at the scene, obstructed the police officers' duties, and assaulted them with poles.

Due to the attack at that time, the OIC of the Anti-Corruption Unit sustained injuries to his right arm, and he is currently receiving treatment at Maho Hospital.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspects arrested in connection with the incident are residents of the Pollebadda area. Police further stated that the suspects were heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident.
