Prime Minister Amarasuriya meets ADB President Kanda in Davos

A meeting has taken place between Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and Mr. Masato Kanda, President of the Asian Development Bank.

This was in Davos, Switzerland.

The meeting was held concurrently with the 2026 World Economic Forum at the WEF Congress Centre in Davos-Klosters.

Sri Lanka's ongoing reform agenda, the country's economic situation, and several other matters were discussed here.

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya departed for Switzerland last Monday (19) to participate in the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum.

The 2026 World Economic Forum will convene in Davos under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue,” bringing together over 3,000 global leaders, including heads of state, government leaders, CEOs of leading multinational corporations, policymakers, and technology innovators.

During this visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold several high-level bilateral meetings with prominent heads of state, leaders of global institutions, and other guests.
