Online booking for tourist bungalows and holiday resorts commences

A new online facility has been introduced for booking tourist bungalows and holiday resorts under the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government. The Ministry states that this system has been established with the aim of providing a more efficient and convenient service to the public.

The Ministry points out that this facility can be accessed by visiting its official website, www.pubad.gov.lk. This new initiative has been launched as a step to further expand the digital governance policy implemented by the current government.

This system for online booking of tourist bungalows and holiday resorts was officially launched on the 29th of last month at the Ministry auditorium, under the patronage of the subject minister, Mr. Vandana Abeyratne.

According to the Ministry of Public Administration, 8 tourist bungalows located in Nuwara Eliya, Diyatalawa, and Bandarawela can be booked through this system. In addition, holiday resorts located in Jaffna, Kataragama, Monaragala, Mahiyanganaya, Mihintale, Mullaitivu, and Polonnaruwa have also been included in this online system.

A group of Ministry officials, including the Ministry Secretary Mr. S. Aloka Bandara, were present at the launch event of this new service.
