Two-Year-Old Drowns After Falling into Water Pit in Aralaganwila

Police state that a two-year-old child has drowned after falling into a water-filled pit in Kandegama, within the Aralaganwila Police Division.

According to reports, the incident occurred on the morning of December 20th when the child fell into a water-filled pit on a private property in the Kandegama area. It was confirmed that the child had died while being transported to Aralaganwila Hospital.

Police further stated that the deceased child was a resident of Damminna, Kandegama. The body has been placed in the mortuary at Aralaganwila Hospital, and Aralaganwila Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
