Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation, K.D. Lal Kantha, states that he is not prepared to say that certain relief efforts for disaster victims are "one hundred percent at the highest level."

Accordingly, he expressed confidence that there would be no food shortage in the country in the future. The Minister also mentioned that the distribution of the Rs. 25,000 cash allowance to disaster-affected individuals is currently nearing completion, and that some issues might arise during the distribution of the Rs. 50,000 allowance, which he described as a natural situation.
He stated that various issues have arisen regarding the Rs. 50,000 allowance for obtaining goods, and questions are emerging about whether this amount should be given to certain individuals. The Minister also pointed out that some individuals believe that the disaster did not affect government officials, but only themselves, a mindset he noted.
