Authorities have taken steps to evacuate members of three families residing in several houses located in Sirigala, Monarakale Estate, within the Monaragala Divisional Secretariat, due to the sudden cracking of walls posing a dangerous situation. Monaragala Divisional Secretary Mr. Chathura Samarasekara stated that the cracks and tilting in the walls of the affected houses created a severe risk of them collapsing at any moment.
These individuals were evacuated on the 8th to ensure the safety of the residents, and they have now been directed to a safe center established at Monaragala Mayuragiri Junior College. Subsequently, Monaragala District Secretary Mr. J. J.
