Problem for the student who videoed the elephant burning

It has been revealed that a university student who videographed an incident of inhumane torture of a person by a group in the Abagahawela area of Mihintale Police Division in Anuradhapura District is facing severe disciplinary action.

His relatives claim that the student is facing severe disciplinary action over his academic activities. The wildlife officials who were involved in videographing the incident have been charged, and he has not been reinstated.

For the university departments scheduled to resume in January, the student wildlife officials have published a notice stating that the subject of essential studies and practical writing is included in the incident. It is also reported that he is suffering from severe mental distress due to the incident not being reinstated.

It was later revealed that the victim of the entire incident was a person from a group in the Seepukulam Abagahawela area who was beaten with sticks and inhumanely tortured by a group of people.
