Over 28,000 Tri-Forces Personnel Deployed for Disaster Operations

 The Army states that 28,500 Tri-Forces personnel have currently been deployed for rescue operations and to restore normalcy in disaster-affected areas.

Army Commander Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo stated that the Tri-Forces have worked to rescue 31,057 affected individuals.

Meanwhile, more than 75 percent of the telecommunication system, which collapsed due to adverse weather conditions, has now been restored.

Bandula Herath, Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, stated that efforts are underway to restore the damaged fiber connections as well.
