Kiribathgoda "Sudu Araliya" and "MLP Shoes" catch fire

Traffic on the Colombo - Kandy main road near Kiribathgoda town has been temporarily suspended. This is due to a sudden fire that broke out in several shops located in the center of Kiribathgoda town.

The fire, which started this afternoon (30th), has severely affected the two shops 'Sudu Araliya' and 'MLP Shoes' located in Kiribathgoda.

Currently, five fire engines have been deployed to the scene to extinguish the fire, and operations to control the fire are rapidly underway. Due to this fire, there is a possibility of severe traffic congestion on the main road, therefore, the police advise drivers using the Colombo - Kandy road to use alternative routes.
