International R&B singer Ne-Yo apologized to his Sri Lankan fans for the sudden postponement of his concert, which was scheduled to be held in Colombo. Issuing a statement via social media, he said that he was deeply saddened by the need to postpone the concert due to "unavoidable reasons."
However, Ne-Yo further emphasized that he hopes to return to Sri Lanka soon and meet his fans.The concert, which was planned to be held by the organizing company 'Brown Boy Presents' at the Sugathadasa Outdoor Stadium on December 28, 2025, was suddenly canceled. However, it has now been revealed that after selling tickets at prices exceeding Rs. 15,000 and generating a large income, the relevant organizers have suspiciously fled the country.
This incident has caused severe unrest among fans who were looking forward to attending the concert, and several fraud complaints have been lodged with the Kollupitiya Police regarding the incident. Authorities have now launched a comprehensive investigation into these large-scale financial irregularities allegedly committed by the organizers.
