Modi Launches 'Operation Sagar Bandhu' to Aid Sri Lanka

 Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expresses heartfelt condolences to the people of Sri Lanka who lost their loved ones due to Cyclone Ditwa.

He stated this in an X post.

He mentioned that he prayed for the safety, comfort, and speedy recovery of all affected families.

The Indian Prime Minister stated that the Indian government has swiftly dispatched relief materials and essential relief teams to Sri Lanka under 'Operation Sagar Bandhu' to assist Sri Lanka.

He also stated that more aid and relief are ready to be provided if the situation develops.

The Indian Prime Minister stated that India is working closely with Sri Lanka in this crucial moment, in line with its 'Neighbourhood First' policy and 'SAGAR' (Security and Growth for All in the Region) vision.
