Melsiripura Landslide Tragedy: Five Dead, Including a 3-Month-Old Infant

 Five people have lost their lives due to a sudden landslide that occurred yesterday (29) morning in the Melsiripura, Kadumalla area. It is a deeply tragic fact that among those who died in this disaster, there was also a three-month-old infant.

Local reporters state that nine more individuals are currently missing due to this natural disaster. By yesterday evening, information was reported that several other locations in the affected area were also at risk of landslides or had already experienced them.

Heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions prevailing across the region have posed a significant challenge to rescue operations and the provision of relief services for aid teams. Despite the continuous weather disruptions, efforts to rescue those affected are being carried out with great difficulty.
