Grandparents, Granddaughter Drown as Car Swerves for Bike, Plunges into Canal

 Three people lost their lives in an accident when a motor car plunged into a canal flowing near Bolivia village in the Saindamardu area of Ampara. Many were shocked by the scenes witnessed yesterday (27) when the accident was captured on video.

The ill-fated motor car was traveling towards Kalmunai along the road adjacent to the said canal when this tragic incident occurred. It is reported that while the car was in motion, it lost control and plunged into the canal while attempting to give way to an oncoming motorcycle.

The three individuals who died in this accident were residents of the Saindamardu area. The deceased have been identified as Sitti Lebbe Saburdin (62), Mohamed Thamba Thasmi, and Mohamed Jarin Asala Mehevis.
It was reported that they were a grandfather, grandmother, and granddaughter by relation.
