CEB Appeals: 'Help Us, Turn Off Solar Panels'

 The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has made a special request to consumers utilizing rooftop solar panel systems. Accordingly, the Board has informed these consumers to voluntarily deactivate their solar panel systems by 3:00 PM today.

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) states that due to the prevailing disaster situation, electricity demand across the island has significantly decreased. For this reason, the CEB further emphasizes that temporarily deactivating solar panels is essential to continuously maintain the stability and reliability of the national electricity system.
