Seven-day Pirith ceremony at Wijerama residence for Mahinda (photos)

The third day of the seven-day Pirith chanting ceremony being conducted for former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was held yesterday.

The Maha Sangha, including Venerable Wedaruwe Dhammakeerthi Sri Ratanapala Upali, the Deputy Chief (Anunayaka) of the Asgiriya chapter of Siam Nikaya, and Venerable Borella Vajiragnana, the Chief Incumbent of Sri Sambodhi Temple and Chairman of Bauddhaya Channel, visited the Wijerama official residence to conduct the seven-day Pirith chanting ceremony to invoke blessings.

These days, there is talk about Mahinda continuing to stay at this official residence without leaving.
