Fire at Krrish Once Again





At the 34th floor of the Kris building located in Colombo Kotuwa, a minor fire had  broken out .. Our reporter mentioned that several fire-fighting vehicles had arrived at the scene.

However, yesterday (07) there was also a fire at the Krrish building, and that blaze was controlled after considerable effort by the Fire Services Department and the Air Force. The Fire Services Department noted that the building is in a very insecure condition. They explained that managing the fire was extremely difficult because the building lacked the minimum facilities required to control an emergency fire.

In Colombo, at about 6:30 PM yesterday, a fire broke out at the Krrish Chathurashra building in Kotuwa, which comprises 55 floors. To control the fire that had spread from the 32nd to the 35th floor, seven fire engines were deployed.
informed sources say that these fires are highly suspicious given the surrounding issues. The dealings around this building is subject to many court hearings MP Namal Rajapaksa has been summoned to the Colombo High Court on February 18 over the alleged misappropriation of Rs. 70 million related to the ‘Krrish deal.’

The Attorney General’s Department has filed an indictment in the High Court against Namal Rajapaksa, Member of Parliament and son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, over his alleged involvement in the controversial Krish project.
