The soldiers were killed during the war, not for personal gain - Karuna Amman

I killed army police officers during the war. Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman, the All Ceylon Tamil General Assembly candidate for Digamadulla, said that it was not something I did otherwise.

He was speaking at a media briefing held at an election campaign rally in Trincomalee on the 12th.

Speaking further Karuna Amman said,
 We in the Army Police died at my hands during the war.

Otherwise, I would not have done it personally. An investigation is underway against me in this regard. Went to test yesterday too. LTTE cadres arrested by the government during the war. Many of the members were released. Another 157 are in jail. We hope to hold discussions with the President and the Prime Minister regarding their release.
I have no affiliation with the Sri Lanka People's Front or that alliance now. I represent the Tamil United Freedom Front. He also said that the All Ceylon Tamil General Assembly will contest the general election this time as the party has not been registered yet.
