Two suspected corona infected Polish nationals in guest house in Galle ... to Karapitiya

Two Polish nationals were admitted to a special ward allocated for suspected corona patients at Galle, Karapitiya, Teaching hospital early this morning (23), a hospital spokesman said. Hospital sources said that these two Polish nationals were two guards providing security to foreign vessels plying along the sea coast.

The two of them are aged 44 and 37 respectfully and both of them have arrived in the island last 3rd. They were actually in the process of undergoing self-quarantine and had been at a guest house in Galle and subsequently they were hospitalised according to medical instructions. A spokesman of the special unit allocated for corona suspects at Karapitiya Teaching Hospital said that by this morning (23) patients were undergoing treatment. It is understood that 17 persons are undergoing quarantine procedures at Boossa quarantine centre and that there are two prison inmates too among them.
