Priyantha who gave holiday home of 15 rooms for quarantine purposes
The health ministry says that a businessman in Hanwella, 'Deshamanya' Mr. H.D.R. Priyantha has consented to provide his holiday home/guest house with all facilities including food and lodging in the case of Sri Lankans coming to the island after a stay abroad. It was revealed at this inspection that each room in this guest house comprised toilet and bathroom facilities and in addition, a number of rooms have been erected in the guest house to be utilised for ceremonies etcetera and that those too could be used. Senior additional secretary, Mr. Rohana de Silva who expressed his idea in this connection mentioned thus: "According to the knowledge of businessman Mr. Priyantha, we came for basic inspection today. Actually this indeed is an esteemed act. In this manner, a word of thanks is bestowed upon the secretary and health director general for having acted like this for coming forward voluntarily and sacrificing his wealth and property to rescue the Sri Lankan public from the covid 19 outbreak.
'Deshamanya' Mr. H.D.R. Priyantha who expressed his ideas in this respect had this to say. "In reality I began to ponder over this in connection with the incident that took place near Hendala leprosy hospital. We need not fall into that level. Sri Lankans are a set of people who are well aware of hospitality. When our own brothers and sisters step into our motherland we ought take care of them with love and kindness. So I decided to provide accommodation for quarantine activities at this guest house and to supply food and meals and all facilities.
