Inside story of battle of the underworld to ... become king in the prison!

Clashes that have flared up these days among underworld leaders who have been imprisoned are to be heard time and again. The latest heated situation that has flared up has in fact at the beginning of 2020. 

A deep sound of a deep lamentation was suddenly heard from a ward in Welikada prison right at the beginning of the year. Inmates around had been struggling and rocked there. One prisoner has stabbed
another prisoner. In reality, it has gone beyond a common case of stabbing and in fact the knife had penetrated the stomach, it was noted. The victim has almost collected the bowels in his hand the intestines which had jumped out from the abdomen and he was actually in the process of running. This then is the situation of Welikada and CRP or Colombo remand prison. Almost daily, there are two or three instances of assaults within prisons. When taking into consideration the violent type of criminals in there, any person could justifiably hypothesise such a thing happening. 

Under such a situation, an instance is reported of Kosgoda Tharaka assaulting an inmate at a different cell during the period 6 - 7 when prisoners are allowed to come out of their cells. Any piece of news for that matter ... when delving into its root; it nevertheless is the birth of many a story. When going into the root of this incident, what was found was forebodings of a great battle still hidden from the media. 

Kosgoda Tharaka is behind bars because of the Matara jewellery robbery. After the Matara robbery, Tharaka and his brother are initially taken to the Angunakolapelessa prison. Both these elder and younger brothers who come there are welcome with a party, it is understood and that then is their life. It is Makandure Madush who organises the said party for Tharaka. Both Madush and Tharaka are in fact beyond Bentara ganga, to be precise. The staunch bond which existed between the two ... though the underground of the South tried hard to bring to a close was never to be and was the primary reason. This strong bond and repercussions that are to follow when making those on the other side of the ganga ... is not second either. 

That then is the reason why the biggest revenger on this earth against Kosgoda Tharaka born in the South is another whose birth is also the South. He not only happens to be from the South ... but also from Tharaka's village too. Not only that ... Tharaka's first robbery was committed with him in conjunction. He is Kosgoda Sujee. 

The most powerful underground underworld gangs in operation in Sri Lanka are supposed to be the gang of Makandure Madush and gang of Kosgoda Sujee. Kosgoda Sujee operates his gang from Dubai. LTTE gunmen too are supposed to be in his gang. Podi Lassi who is behind the murder of chief jailor, Tennakoon of prison training school the day before his daughter's scholarship as well as Sudda are powerful hands of sub-gangs of Kosgoda Sujee. At present, the majority of members are to be found in both Kosgoda Sujee's and Makandure Madush gangs. Their membership is nothing less than a hundred. Most members linked to these two gangs are presently in prison. 

According to laws of the prison .. defendants of a single case cannot be in one ward. This law of course can be 'bent' by offering something to those in prison. The best example in this respect is the luxury afforded to Selvi's sons who are in Colombo remand prison. The Gotabhaya Rajapaksa attempted murder and if it fails, Kanjipani Imran and Selvi's three sons who happen to be the best testifier to extract information in that connection are enjoying maximum comfort within bars. 

Having 'bent' the previously mentioned law ... all three sons of Selvi in one and the same cell. For them .. this is like there own house. On no day in the history of the prison has three individuals of the same family have been confined to a single cell and provided equal comfort as such. Now however it so happens. 

Prior to this, as we revealed earlier, the incident where an attempt was made to murder Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa by one Viduranga alias Viththa by injecting cyanide was immediately closed by a certain rank in prison. Now this rank has developed a longlasting revenge against a crowd suspected to have exposed that news outside prison and the crowd providing protection to Viththa. Under these circumstances operations to remove Tharaka from Welikada in some way or the other and to isolate Viththa has already commenced. 

Even before this some type of weapons were kept in readiness to kill Tharaka, it was revealed. That was to some distance away from Welikada prison and to murder him when he is being brought to Colombo for court case activities. In the same way, a group who was attempting to murder Tharaka in the same style Samayan was murdered in Kalutara and that is when Tharaka is being brought to Galle from Angunakolapelessa prison where he was imprisoned earlier and in this instance unfortunately they were taken into custody with 3000 bullets in the year 2019. incidentally, even the underworld control units had come to know that Tharaka was to be attacked on occasions when he was to be brought for court cases in Kalutara, Balapitiya, Moratuwa, Mt. Lavinia, Gangodawila and Homagama courts. It was to his closest colleagues Rana of the underworld of the South, Raju, Karandeniye Sudu Malli, Podi Lassi and groups holding sway at Galle prison that Kosgoda Sujee has handed over the job of fulfilling this target. But since it was a difficult task for them to reach the targets, it is said that Uragaha Michael was sent to Sri Lanka. According to intelligence sources, it was from Mirissa area close to Weligama that weapons including R.P.G. had come into the country. According to this information the police in the South too has got agitated because they know that these weapons are for the purpose of blood-shed and nothing else. What is at the bottom of this great battle is a story not dreamed of by anybody. 

By now, Galle, Tangalla and Boossa prisons are under the control of Muslim underground elements. However much officers are present, decisions arrived at in these prisons is executed by the group who hold reins there. For this purpose Madush and Kanjipani who was in Dubai together with heroin dealers have been spending money to spill over, to say the least. 

When the Muslim underground begins to gain superiority in the country .. the heroin market in the country too belongs to the Muslim underground ... to say indirectly --Kanjipani Imran and the crowd. Therefore, prisons ruled by the underground should somehow or other be taken hold by Muslim authority. However, all of a sudden Kanjipani and the crowd were arrested in Dubai. Subsequently they were expelled to this country and were taken into custody in this country too, once more. Now Kanjipani Imran is in fact inside the prison underground which he build after spending his money so far. However something he never envisaged took place here. That is, the Muslim underground has still not been able to flaunt or confirm their powers within precincts of Welikada prison. During the time period that passed by, heroin was supplied to Sinhala and Tamil prisoners as much as they wanted. Those who cared to join their kingdom would be recipients of heroin and cigarettes. 

In the meantime. Kanjipani gets a suggestion from Tamil inmates. It is that according to a request from their higher leaders, a person who was arranged to assassinate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is now getting ready to betray the leaders and that if the relevant person is to be killed ... their support would be given to Kanjipani and the crowd. It is this way that Viththa alias Viduranga murder is to take place. As if for sheer luck of Viduranga, at the moment when the cyanide attack was launched, it was Kosgoda Tharaka's younger brother who happened to be near Viduranga. Since this younger brother jumped to protect Viduranga ... this Kanjipani who was out of sight had to become a part of the transaction of LTTE. In the end murder objectives or targets of Kanjipani and the crowd were two in number. One is Viduranga while the second is Tharaka. 

It is an underground element presently in India who bears all expenses for Kanjipani. The wonderful aspect of this story is about the Sinhala underground elements who have joined in to strengthen Kanjipani and the Muslim underground. Sinhala criminals who appear on behalf of the Muslim underground within the prison for the sake of heroin or money are several in number. Whether they be Sinhalese, Muslim or Tamil ... they all are criminals. Those born to this society are those who are destined to face punishment by law or nature. On the other hand it is the children of some persons adorned in uniforms who earn something by extending support to underground gangs that have to pay for their sins. By now, it is already revealed of an officer who was subjected to murder sometime back as having had sad connections such as this. 

Kosgoda Sujee issues a death warrant from Dubai against Kosgoda Tharaka in the year 2017 to kill his uncle Jagamuni Mahinda Raja inclusive of four individuals in one and the same day with the motive of taking revenge on them. It was Kosgoda Tharaka and his people who invaded three villages in just half an hour and kills all four by turning Kosgoda police division a battle-field. Mahinda Raja at one time was a UNP Mp in Balapitiya and therefore his protection provided great shelter to Kosgoda Sujee in the process. In order to take vengeance for the crime committed on his uncle's family Kosgoda Sujee dispatched his gang on the night of 31st October, 2017 to gun down innocent Manoraj de Soysa, Kosgoda Tharaka's uncle at Batapola including his three children and another person who was nearby. 

On that occasion though all five of them escaped life by sustaining only injuries, Sujee planned to take his vengeance at sometime or the other and since Tharaka was a hidden character, it was not possible to corner him. Though red alerts too were released, it has not been possible to get down Sujee alias Jagamuni de Soysa to this country from Dubai. Mannage Don Roshan Padma Kumara by using a duplicate passport No. 55233373 migrated to Dubai on February 14th, 2016 and it is a powerful minister in the incumbent government who incidentally helped signing as witness and even scoot from this country. It is understood that relationships are maintained with Ganemulla Makilangamuwe Sanjeewa the underground leader who maintained intimate connections with the LTTE gang and also Kimbulaela Gune. Officer in charge of Dematagoda police anti-corruption unit, Douglas Nimal and his wife are  gunned down by Kimbulaela Gune operating from India. 

It was revealed during the past that several RPG weapons had come to this country through boats for the purpose of murdering Tharaka. Intelligence units had received information that Kosgoda Sujee had transported two RPG weapons and ten T 56 rifles across boats conveying heroin with the support of Rathgama Nadun who is in Italy with the arrival of Uragaha Michael. With another underground murder taking place this week goes to prove that Uragaha Michael is still in this country. 

It was last 6th that gunmen who boarded a CTB bus travelling from Aluthgama to Elpitiya killed a person called Ranjith Jayawardena. This murder takes place on orders of Kosgoda Sujee after Elpitiya local government election results were announced. Another instance is the case where Chamila Deepal and Saman Suresh were murdered at Raththotuwila, Elpitiya and the head of Saman Suresh was severed from the body and left near Raththotuwila co-operative and that was after Sujee's gang had detached the head of a person of of their rival gang in the very same manner by dumping it at this place. 

Now some time back Makandure Madush and Kosgoda Tharaka were friends. But Madush having come to know that Tharaka has made friendships with Samayan ... then develops a revenge with Tharaka. The first attempt to kill Kosgoda Tharaka by Madush whose handyman was Kanjipani Imran was reported during the last week. For this purpose it was to one Harsha to whom the contract was given for that purpose. He was an underground infant who was nabbed for having ridden a motor cycle in Wattala for purposes of a murder. 

Tharaka who is aware of this infancy of his then punishes him by meeting him in the morning asking him to mind his own business. It is this incident that comes out without knowing the true story. Not only that ... present president Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa engaged on a tour of the prison some days back. It is probable that he made this tour without a reason as such. 

By now it is certain officers in prisons who have become the most corrupted elements. To say the least ... a power wielded by Kanjipani Imran inside Colombo remand prison which even prison commissioner general is unable to control is prevalent .. it must be said. The reason is officers greedy for money. They thus provide maximum luxury for them within the prison and take steps somehow or other to transfer them to some other prisons somehow or other. 

Finally, it is the greatest hope of everybody inside and outside prison walls for the present president who possesses experience in controlling the underground to rescue the law of this land from these dastard officers.
