TNL Ishini Wickramasingha is new director general of zoological gardens

Director of TNL channel has been appointed as new directress general of national zoological department. 

Her father is Shan Wickramasingha while her father's brother is Ranil Wickramasingha. During the last presidential period, she appeared on behalf of the victory of Gotabhaya Rajapaksa of Pohottuwa
instead of Sajith Premadasa of UNP. This appointment has been given as a token of gratitude for the role played by her to bring victory to Gotabhaya. 

The letter forwarded to the cabinet in relation to this appointment by environment, wild life resources, lands and land development, minister S.M. Chandrasena has been approved. Mrs. Ishini Wickramasingha is an Old Girl of Ladies College, Colombo and South Thames College, England. In any case, internal sources of national zoological department say that the new directress has so far not reported to the department and that no mention has been specified as to the date when she would come.
