Matara male-mother seeks person to give child for adoption
The three-wheel driver who came dressed in a shirt and trouser to Matara general hospital and delivered a baby has refused to accept the child. A spokesman in that hospital yesterday (23) informed that the said driver has even made a request from police to hand over the child to be adopted by parents who wish to do so.
On the occasion when this person concerned has come to take treatment wearing a beard last 21st,
this driver has delivered the baby. Since this male-mother has had no breasts to breast-feed that child ... the baby was directed to the baby care unit and the hospital staff has taken steps to feed the baby with milk powder. In the meantime, only those who were given permission to see the health condition of the driver who delivered the baby were allowed room by hospital authorities. To prevent outsiders from gaining admission, a hospital security guard too has been posted at the entrance.

This driver who appeared as a man living in a village close to Matara town was exposed to be a woman at the time closing in upon delivery of the baby. It is suspected that the embryo has originated from someone with whom this person was engaged in homosexual activity. This young person who at first glance had a handsome look has had an attractive lover too, police say. Whatever it is, it was scheduled to secure a suitable order regarding the baby by reporting matters to courts.
